Malala Yousafzai is an inspiration to young girls living in Swat Valley. After demanding education for girls in Swat against the Taliban she was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman in 2012. A gunman shot Malala when she was travelling home from school. She was immediately transported to Birmingham Hospital, England. The shooting left Malala in critical condition. A portion of her skull had to be removed to reduce the swelling to her brain. Malala was taken out of a medically induced coma, though she would require multiple surguries-including repair of a facial nerve to fix the paralyzed left side of her face. In March she was able to attend school in Birmingham. Although she began public speaking to inforce girls education in struggling countries, villages and towns. Malala created a foundation to inforce the welfare and education to girls over the world. She has created a website www.Malalafund.org for people to donate and find more info about the struggling parents fighting for their children's education.
